Si sa, il burrocacao è essenziale per mantenere le labbra idratate e morbide; “ricordati di usarlo” è da sempre un pensiero ricorrente ed è proprio così che i balsami labbra profumati sono diventati una mia ossessione. Non c’è niente di male ad avere un’ossessione, quindi ho continuato a collezionare nel tempo prodotti incredibili e gustosi, naturali e commerciali.
Lip balm is essential to keep your lips hydrated and soft, “remember to wear your lip balm” has been a recurring thought and for this reason scented lip balms have quickly became my little obsession.
There’s nothing bad in having an obsession, so I’ve collected with the time some amazing and tasty lip products, both natural and commercial.

Al momento sto usando avidamente il burrocacao a forma d’uovo Yamavì, non è un prodotto famoso, benché abbia l’aspetto del celebre EOS. Idrata le labbra e protegge dai raggi UVA e UVB; il suo aroma di tè verde è leggero, delizioso e 100% naturale. Questo è tutto quello che so, ma non posso non adorarlo.
Dal piccolo negozio “Real Soap and Good Rags” ho comprato tempo fa questi due prodotti fatti a mano e naturali: Healthy Lips, alla menta piperita, e Margarita Lips, fresco e agrumato.
Chi si ricorda dei Fat Balms? Non erano particolarmente idratanti, ma erano versatili e avevano delle tonalità graziose. Ho ancora quelli che profumano di ciliegia, lampone, fragola, caramello e glassa.
Il lip balm al lampone ha solo un valore “sentimentale”, è stato il primo prodotto che ho acquistato da Eyeko ed è troppo vecchio per essere usato; al momento uso quello alla ciliegia come blush e, insieme a Frosting, come “rossetto” .
Gli astucci più piccini, al cioccolato e al lampone, sono della Color Trend, la linea più colorata e giovane di Avon. Quasi ogni anno Avon Color Trend lancia alcuni lip balm in edizione limitata e, questa estate, Juicy Raspeberry mi ha sorpresa piacevolmente. Al di là del profumo, non mi sarei mai aspettata tanto per il suo prezzo (2,99€ circa), invece ho notato che idrata molto.
Quando l’ho usato per la prima volta mia, mi ha ricordato un Chapstick ma quello che mi ha sorpresa era nell’inci: il primo ingrediente non è chimico ma è olio di ricino!
The biggest part of my lip balms is fruity, others are sweet, others herbal… let’s check them all.
I’m currently using this egg-shaped lip balm from Yamavì, it’s not a famous product but looks like the célèbre EOS. It gives me hydration and protection from UVA/UVB rays, while its green tea flavor is light, delicious and 100% natural. This is all I know about it and I love it.
From the shop “Real Soap and Good Rags” I’ve bought these two babies time ago, the Healthy Lips, which has the fresh taste of peppermint, and Margarita Lips, fresh and fruity. The owner of the shop usally does small batches of each product, so it’s better to put her Etsy page among your favourites to know when new lip balms and flavours are available.
Do you remember the Fat Balms from Eyeko? They weren’t really moisturizing but very coloured and versatile. I’ve still the ones that smell like strawberry, cherry, raspberry, caramel and frosting. The raspberry has just a “sentimental” importance and I don’t use it since it’s pretty old but the cherry and frosting are good enough and I’m currently using the cherry Fat Balm as a blush.
The liny tubes, the chocolate and raspberry lip balms, are from the Color Trend, the youngest Avon line. Almost every year Avon Color Trend comes with some limited edition lip balms, Juicy Raspberry surprised me a lot this summer. I didn’t expect so much from it but it has a nice fruity flavour and a good hydrating power. When I’ve used it for the first time, it reminded me of a Chapstick but what surprised me was in the inci list: the first ingredient isn’t chemical but ricinus oil!
Quali sono i miei preferiti? Non posso lasciare casa senza l’ovetto Yamavì o il Juicy Raspberry.
Il lip balm Yamavì al tè verde, insieme ad altri tre gusti, costa 3,90$ su Born Pretty Store (10% in meno con il codice VC10K31). Credo che sia abbastanza buono e lo consiglio, la confezione potrebbe risultare un po’ ingombrante, ma non è un problema irrisolvibile.
L’altro preferito è ora fuori produzione, ma non mi preoccupo: sono sicura che verranno messi in vendita altri burocacao come questo presto.

I can’t leave my house without the Yamavì lip balm and the Juicy Raspberry.
Yamavì green tea lip balm costs 3,90$ on Born Pretty Store with other three flavours (10% off coupon VC10K31). It’s quite good and I recommend it but it isn’t clutch friendly since the egg package is bulky. By the way, it isn’t an irresolvable issue.
The other favourites is the Juicy Raspberry, now discontinued. I don’t care, I think there will be others coming in the future.
Mi sono resa conto che tendo sempre a scegliere gusti dolci, forse perché so con sicurezza che sarà un acquisto sicuro, per questo motivo nella mia collezione non ci sono lip balm speziati o strani. Devo assolutamente colmare questa mancanza!
Se questi sono i migliori, qual è stato il prodotto meno gradevole? Ricordo ancora con un certo disgusto il Labello alla camomilla. Non avevo dubbi, non mi piace neppure bere la camomilla!
I’ve realized that I tend to choose always sweet flavours because I’m sure they are going to be a good purchase, then there aren’t spicy or weird lip balms in my stash. I should fill this gap!

I still remember the Labello Chamomille, I really disliked it as well as I don’t like drink chamomile!
