Piccoli acquisti da Avon/ A little Avon haul

Ho fatto un pò di shopping ultimamente, qui e là, online e per negozi.
Prevedo una valanga di “flash haul”!

Then, flash hauls ahead!

Sono una rappresentante Avon ed è normale per me acquistare un pò di tutto dai cataloghi, in particolare per la cura quotidiana a 360°, ma qualche volta mi coccolo con un regalino. Un esempio: accessori e make up.
Adoro quanto sia divertente indossare dei piccoli gioielli per aggiornare l’outfit dalla mattina alla sera, così ho acquistato il set Violetta.
Un kit per veri egittofili: una collana dorata multifilo (staccabili) con pendenti piramidali, due paia di orecchini piramidali e un anello aperto.
Ho notato che i bijoux Avon sono sempre aggiornati alle ultime tendenze e, in più, sono migliorati nel tempo nella qualità, così come le confezioni: se non illustrate nel catalogo, le scatoline sono sempre nere fuori e fucsia all’interno… basta un fiocchetto e sono pronte per essere regalate!

As you know I’m an Avon representative and when I place an order I often buy something for myself, basically all kind of daily care products, but sometimes I treat myself with a nice gift. This is an example: jewelry and make-up.
I totally love how fun is wearing accessories, so I’ve bought the Violetta gift set, a geometrical kit consisting of a golden and detachable multi-tread necklace with pyramidal pendants, two pairs of pyramidal earrings and an open ring.
Those sound perfect for Egypt-o-maniacs! I’ve noticed that Avon jewellery is always updated to the latest trends and has improved in quality during these last years as well as in its packaging. If not shown in the catalog, Avon jewelry boxes are black outside, fuchsia inside the lid and are ready to be given away!

L’articolo di make-up in questione è un ombretto nero.
Tra tanti colori ho scelto il nero, perché? Credetemi o no, tra tante palette e vasetti di pigmenti non avevo un nero autentico. Tra grigi e antraciti, sbucava sempre qualche nero perlato o metallico.
Alla fine è arrivato tra le mie mani: l’ombretto Colore Semprevivo Avon Blackest Black. Semplicemente nero e intenso.

The make-up item is a black eyeshadow. What? Black, why black?
Believe me or not, I have so many eyeshadows but I haven’t got a real black.
Grays, anthracites, pearly blacks… where is a good black among all my little palettes? Here’s it at the end: the Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Single in Blackest Black and I’m loving it!

Mi sono ammalata di “Instagrammite” e tutti quelli che hanno la sventura di seguirmi avranno notato un paio di post fotografici intitolati “Today’s details”.
Rapidi scatti per immortalare pezzi di outfit che andrebbero, altrimenti, gettati nel mio immenso dimenticatoio.
Questo è ciò che ho indossato una sabato mattina, prendendo un cappuccino e creando un gattino con la schiuma del latte con un amico di lunga data.
Come potete immaginare, il micio non è venuto alla luce!

Doctor, doctor give me the news, I’ve got a bad case of loving… Instagram!
That’s right and if you’re so foul to follow me there, you certainly notice a couple of pictures titled “Today’s details”.
Quick shots with something pretty I wore in a particular day. Here’s what I wore during a sunny Saturday while taking a cappuccino with a friend of mine and trying to create a kitty with milk foam.
Obviously, the kitty never came to life!

“Soffice e spigoloso” potrebbe essere il nome della foto, un perfetto ossimoro: un tessuto morbido e un colore allegro accompagnati da un dettaglio fortemente geometrico. 
Ho indossato una felpina traforata fucsia United Colors of Benetton e un top bianco dalle spalline larghe Pompea.
Il tocco originale è dato dalla collana dal gift set Violetta Avon, un accessorio multi filo con pendenti piramidali.
Ultime, ma non meno importanti, le labbra: Avon Rossetto Coloresemprevivo Ultra Colour Indulgence Peach Petunia, un rossetto altamente idratante con texture e finitura cremosa; né troppo aranciato, né troppo pesca, ravvivato da un leggero  tocco di rosa.
Una cartella pimkie nera, rosa cipria e dorata completava il look.

“Fluffy and spiky” is the name of this outfit: soft fabric, girly colour, all paired with a strong and angled golden accessory.
I was wearing a United Colors of Benetton openwork fuchsia sweater over a Pompea basic white tank top. The edgy touch is given by the Avon double necklace from the Violetta gift set, a multi strand jewellery with two pyramidal pieces.
Last but not least, my lips: Avon Ultra Colour Indulgence lipstick in Peach Petunia, a high hydrating lipstick with creamy texture and finish; neither too peachy nor too orangy, with a delicate twist of pink.
A powder pink/black/gold pimkie satchel completed the look.

Avon Solutions – Freshest Pure 3 in 1 scrub, mask and cleanser (review)

There’s a multi-use, 3 in 1, skin care item right for you… approved by your beauty archaeologist: Avon Solutions Freshest Pure scrub, mask and cleanser.
It’s from the Freshest Pure range, created to cleanse skin from impurities and oils, and its name explains the product better than 1000 words.

Avon Solutions 3 in 1 scrub, mask and cleanser is a white kaolin paste filled with tiny blue exfoliating granules which can be adapted to your specific need and follows you in your beauty routine with ease!
It can be used as a normal cleanser by leaving the skin clean, smooth and refreshed, or it can be transformed into a scrub or a mask.
As a scrub, gently rub a pea size amount of product onto wet face for 1 minute, then rinse off with warm water as usual. It’s quite gentle even if you can feel the little beads massaging your skin and doing their job.
As a mask, one needs to apply a very thin coat of Avon Solutions Freshest Pure 3 in 1 over wet face and let it dry for 5 minutes, then rinse off.
Here the kaolin clay purifies the skin and leaves a very nice fresh sensation.
I highly recommend to apply the mask just onto the oily areas of your face because it’s just for those areas, otherwise it might dry normal or dry zones.
I’ve found this Avon product really easy to use but, most and first of all, very handy!
It works as promised and helps to save money and space in your beauty case.
The packaging is sleek and functional, the scent is very fresh.
Just fresh, there aren’t other adjectives for it.
The price is appealing: 6£ for three products in one tube.
It follows me everywhere and works well with my combination skin.

Just a little warning: people with combination skin should quickly apply a moisturizer afterward to avoid unwanted dryness.
Anyway, I suggest to give it a chance. Let’s resume the product as follows:

PROS:
it substitutes 3 different skin care products,
it’s good value for money,
it’s easy to use,
it cleanses the skin effectively,
it leaves a fresh after use sensation

it may dry normal and dry zones

Manicure: tanti cuori, forse troppi (una nail art di San Valentino)/ I see hearts (a Valentine’s day nail art)

Tutto è roseo e dolce in questi giorni, probabilmente troppo per me, ma domani è San Valentino e posso accettare tanta dolcezza per un paio di giorni.
E’ così vero che vi mostro una mia manicure carica d’amore, aspettatevi tanti cuori…

Everything is pink and sweet these days, probably too much for me, but tomorrow is Valentine’s day, I can accept all that sweetness for a couple of days.
Here’s my love-loaded manicure for this event, expect hearts, yes…

Questa nail art è una sorta di “French-non French manicure” con tanti piccoli glitter a forma di cuore lungo gli smile.
La mia base è uno strato di Avon Nail Expert Pearl Shine per proteggere e rinforzare le mie unghie; ho continuato con tre strati di Avon Pro+ Naked Truth, uno smalto crème che “balza” tra il beige neutro e il malva. Mentre l’ultimo strato era ancora fresco ho applicato, usando una matita cerata, i glitter Avon Color Trend, una chicca dello scorso anno, badando ad alternare il verso di ogni cuore.
Ho finito con due strati di Kiko Quick Dry #800.

This nail art is a sort of “French manicure” with cute little heart glequins on the tips of my nails.
I started with one coat of Avon Nail Expert Pearl Shine to protect and strengthen my nails, followed by three coats of Avon Pro+ in Naked Truth, a crème nail lacquer shifting between a neutral beige and a cold mauve.
While the third coat was still fresh, I applied some Avon Color Trend heart glitters on the tips with a waxy pencil. I alternated the verse of each heart.
I finished off with two coats of Kiko Quick Dry #800 as top coat.

Basta dolcezza. Ho visto fin troppi cuoricini e voi?

Avon – kit sopracciglia perfette/ perfect eyebrow kit in Soft Brown (review)

A parte le Glimmerstick, potreste ancora incappare in questo piccolo kit Avon, il kit sopracciglia perfette. Ve lo mostro per dovere di cronaca, perché potrebbe sbucare in qualche supplemento di catalogo.
Il kit sopracciglia perfette contiene un panetto di cera, un colore compatto, un pennello angolato con due estremità e uno specchietto, il tutto dentro la classica confezione quadrata firmata Avon.

Avon has finally its own eyebrow kits, lightweight compacts with the basic things one needs to redefine the brows. After its Glimmersticks I knew I had to try it, so I did!
The Perfect Eyebrow Kit contains a wax pat, an eyebrow colour, a double-ended angled brush and a mirror, all inside the typical Avon’s sleek squared case.

E’ molto facile da usare e bisogna solo adoperare poco prodotto alla volta: bisogna stendere la cera, dove serve, con l’applicatore e tamponare la polvere compatta sopra lo strato di cera con l’altra estremità del pennellino o con il pennello che amate di più! Le sopracciglia appariranno riempite in modo naturale e, come promesso, il colore non colerà.
La cera svolge davvero bene il proprio dovere e il pigmento compatto ha una texture molto fine, tuttavia ho trovato l’applicatore troppo largo e ho finito per usare il mio pennello per sopracciglia per riempirle.
Il kit che ho acquistato è Soft Brown e include una tonalità calda, non troppo scura, di marrone; purtroppo non è affatto il mio colore naturale, ma era l’unica opzione possibile da scegliere.
Se date un’occhiata rapida a questo post, noterete il risultato in foto; nella vita reale questo kit crea un’ombreggiatura calda e naturale, anche se risulta ancora troppo chiara per me.

PRO:
la cera fissa il colore molto bene;
il pigmento colorato è molto fine;
è comodo da portare in borsa (grazie allo specchio incluso)

CONTRO:
non ci sono abbastanza colori tra cui scegliere;
l’applicatore è troppo largo

It’s super easy to use and I suggest to work with small amount of powder at a time: apply the colourless wax with the applicator where needed and apply  the eyebrow powder on the top with the other side of the applicator or your own eyebrow brush! Your brows are naturally filled for a long time and, as promised, the colour doesn’t smudge.
The wax does really well its job and the eyebrow colour is fine in texture, but I find the applicator quite large for this purpose, so that I ended up using my brush to apply the colour.
The kit I’ve bought is Soft Brown which include a medium warm tone of brown, it isn’t my natural colour but it was the darkest option available in Italy.
If you take a look at this post, you can notice the result in pictures; in real life this kit creates a kind of natural shading (yet still too light).

PROS:
the wax holds the colour well,
the eyebrow colour is fine,
perfect to carry around (thanks to the mirror)

CONS:
not enough colours,
the applicator is too wide

There are tons of eyebrow kits on the market but I think this is the simplest one to start with and, maybe, the type one really needs (without items people will never use like stencils or micro tweezers).

Ci sono tantissime palette e kit per sopracciglia sul mercato, però credo che questo sia il più semplice con cui iniziare e, molto probabilmente, contenga quello che è più strettamente necessario.
Mi conosco fin troppo bene e so che non userei, non per pigrizia, gli stencil e le mini pinzette che spesso si trovano in altri cofanetti.
Non è un cattivo prodotto, ma sarei stata molto più soddisfatta con un colore leggermente più scuro.
Se siete castane, potrete trovarvi bene con il kit sopracciglia perfette.
